About The Position
Quanex is looking for a temporary Maintenance Data Entry Assistant to join our QCM team located in Cambridge, Ohio This temporary summer position supports the maintenance department by collecting and entering asset information into our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The role focuses on ensuring accurate, organized, and reliable maintenance data to support daily operations and longâterm planning. We Offer You! Hours of Operation: 7:00am-3:00pm Growth Potential Team-Oriented Environment Dynamic Culture and People What Success Looks Like: Necessity for attention to detail. Collect asset and equipment information from maintenance staff, documentation, and onsite sources Enter data into the CMMS accurately and efficiently Review existing records and update missing or outdated information Organize and maintain digital files, manuals, and equipment documentation Communicate with maintenance personnel to clarify or verify data Assist with general administrative tasks related to maintenance data General housekeeping. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area (5S standards) Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives Adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE Additional tasks as assigned by Maintenance Manager Following all safety procedures and guidelines Your Credentials: High School or GED preferred Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to follow structured processes and maintain organized records Willingness to learn new software systems (CMMS experience is a plus but not required) Good communication skills when gathering or confirming information Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to stand, walk, and use upper extremities while occasionally sitting, crouching, and bending. Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds and perform necessary job tasks. Requirements
- High School or GED preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain organized records
