The Director of Maintenance / Project Manager is responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair work throughout the community, including plumbing, basic household electrical work, drywall repair, painting, carpet cleaning, and general household and building maintenance. This role responds to maintenance requests in resident apartments and common areas, keeping spaces safe, clean, and well cared for. Beyond day-to-day maintenance, this position has a strong project management focus. You will plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance and improvement projects from start to finish. This includes setting timelines, organizing materials, coordinating vendors when needed, and communicating progress clearly with leadership. Meeting deadlines and taking ownership of seeing projects through to completion are essential expectations of the role. This position also includes leadership responsibility. The Director of Maintenance / Project Manager supervises and works closely with a full-time maintenance crew member. Together, you will prioritize tasks, divide responsibilities effectively, and maximize efficiency to complete projects properly and on schedule.
