About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform upkeep within building and throughout property, including outside areas. Perform minor electrical repairs. Maintain HVAC system. Maintain plumbing, water and sewage systems. Perform carpentry duties. Assist with maintenance of grounds, including sod laying, moving, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging and raking. Assist with winter snow removal, including snow shoveling, plowing, sanding and salting sidewalks and parking areas. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with minor electrical, basic plumbing and carpentry preferred.
• Must possess valid Minnesota Drivers License.
• (Applicants with an out of state license must obtain a Minnesota license within 30 days of hire.)
• Boiler license and pool certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minor electrical skills.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of hand tools, saws and drills.
• Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
• Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
• Mobility throughout the facility.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to drive various vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Cement finishing experience.
• Painting and wood finishing experience.
• Rubber roofing experience helpful.
• Able to learn basic HVAC equipment and computer.
• Mechanically inclined.
