Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook What you will have an opportunity to do: As a Maintenance Engineer III (HVAC Tech), you would be responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in all areas in a professional manner. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years experience in maintenance trades to include electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry in a complex facility, required

Nice To Haves

  • Training or Apprenticeship in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred
  • LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: EPA Universal Technician Certification, preferred
  • Certification in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License, preferred
  • CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred
  • CPO Certification, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond to calls and complaints to correct temperature conditions in a positive, polite and timely manner.
  • Monitor public space temperatures, making appropriate adjustments when necessary.
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on various equipment.
  • This includes making repairs such as replacing mechanical parts, brazing, soldering, calibrating controls, replacing pipe, fittings and other related componets.
  • For HVAC, maintain working understanding of controls, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Diagnosis / analysis of A/C problems.
  • For refrigeration, maintain working understanding of this type of equipment, troubleshooting and repair.
  • For plumbing, maintain understanding of checking valves and pressures.
  • For electrical, read schematics and troubleshoot.
  • Work closely with vendors and team members to ensure proper quantities of supplies are always on hand without exceeding the monthly budget.
  • Negotiate and leverage the department’s buying power when making purchasing decision on specific products.
  • Fill all properly approved requisitions promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the receiving, stocking and issuing of parts.
  • Assist in the daily exchange of information between engineers and vendors.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized storeroom.
  • Maintain strong electrical and mechanical understanding of various equipment.
  • Rebuild motors.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Schedule workload effectively.
  • Maintain detailed record keeping for logs and inspection sheets.
  • This includes preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment maintenance schedules, and work performed.
  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.
  • Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • When assigned to HVAC role: Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and other mechanical equipment including energy management systems.
  • Schedule and complete preventative , maintenance on HVAC equipment.
