This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Some departments are hot/wet, and some are cold/wet. Position requires standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor. Position requires pushing, pulling or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet. Position requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team. Requires completing computer-based training and entering work into the SAP system. Position requires using LOTO, Fall Protection, Ladders, Forklifts, Pallet Jacks. Current maintenance techs will have first consideration over other applicants. Applicants must have at least 6 months’ industrial maintenance experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial maintenance. Must have a minimum of (6) months of industrial maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program or resume. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Must submit a resume. Requirement: Twelve months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment or completion and verifiable formal schooling in a specific trade. Must have extensive fabrication and mechanical experience. Welding, boiler, and electrical experience preferred. Rehire Consideration: Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire. 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
