About The Position

Do you enjoy working outdoors, fixing things, and helping keep spaces safe and welcoming for your community? The YMCA of Greater Toledo is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance & Groundskeeper to support the upkeep of our Sylvania branch. This role helps ensure our facility and grounds remain clean, safe, and inviting for members, families, and the community. What You'll Do Working under the direction of the Property Manager, you'll help maintain the YMCA facility and surrounding property while supporting a positive experience for members and guests.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of property maintenance or groundskeeping
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and lawn equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and follow direction from the Property Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building maintenance and daily facility upkeep
• Maintain grounds including landscaping and outdoor maintenance
• Perform basic repairs such as replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, painting, and minor carpentry
• Support general electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance tasks
• Assist with pool maintenance and water treatment documentation following YMCA and Health Department standards
• Safely operate lawn care equipment and maintenance tools
• Identify and report unsafe conditions to ensure a safe environment for members, staff, and volunteers
