Maintenance Journeyman Leads the team in performing preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Journeyman card in applicable field.
  • 10+ years related technical experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job.

Responsibilities

  • Mastery of complex maintenance tasks, including the repair and overhaul of sophisticated machinery and systems. Support and lead plant-wide automation projects, upgrades, and installations. Adhere to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical specifications. Calibrate and configure sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems. Update wiring diagrams and documentation for automation systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to equipment reliability improvements.
  • Capability to assess and improve maintenance processes, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machinery and systems, with the ability to implement advanced maintenance strategies.
  • Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
