About The Position

The Maintenance Laborer is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of buildings within KIC Facilities and ensuring they are always in optimum operating condition.

Requirements

• HS Diploma / GED required or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Must be able to safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and safety.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience as a laborer in a maintenance field preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• General knowledge of building maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all directions from the supervisor and work cooperatively and positively with team members.
• Prepare work areas before maintenance tasks and clean up afterward.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance as directed.
• Assist with carpet and linoleum removal and installation.
• Perform interior and exterior painting preparations, including drywall preparation.
• Complete and document assigned work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Remove snow/ice from entrances of all company-owned buildings as needed.
• Safety operate all hand and power tools and secure when not in use.
• Measure, cut, and nail (or fasten) materials as required.
• Use proper rigging and lifting techniques as required.
• Perform light duty cleaning as needed or required.
• Observe all applicable safety rules, regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
