We are currently seeking an outstanding Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team. Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for the upkeep of residential apartments, public areas, and campus buildings by performing general maintenance and repair tasks. This includes using appropriate tools, materials, and techniques to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. As a key member of the Plant team, the Maintenance Mechanic II also supports the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors, protects the community property, and verifies the scheduled presence of employees and third-party contractors on the grounds. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic II: Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and locks, etc. Assists in providing initial response for malfunction of residential HVAC equipment. Perform resets and simple repairs as necessary. Respond to emergency calls regarding system and equipment failure. Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls. Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and "on-call" overtime as necessary. Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with residents, family members, visitors, and personnel to assure that security procedures meet the needs of the facility. Assists with special security needs as they arise involving employees, visitors, and other members of the community. Perform additional duties requested by the Director of Plant Operations and the Executive Director in order to ensure effective and efficient operation within the community.
