About The Position

This is skilled trades work in plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning equipment installation, maintenance, and repair. This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed. Supervises lesser-skilled workers in the absence of an immediate supervisor Discusses projects with the immediate supervisor to exchange ideas on methods to be used and to eliminate misunderstandings before beginning the work Takes responsibility seriously and works to achieve the goals of management.

Requirements

Valid Florida Driver’s License
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program for multiple trades or a high school diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
This position requires a background check.
In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX.
