Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
As a Plastipak Maintenance Mechanic, you have job stability. Plastipak is a strong & secure company in a high-demand industry. In this role, you'll maintain production lines that manufacture rigid plastic packaging for household brands and products that you use everyday. Shift Nights: 6:45 pm – 7:15 am on a standard 3-2-2-3 schedule that includes 2 long-weekends every month Competitive Pay is Based on Experience Earn more for your valuable skills $28+ - $34+ per hour Why Work Here? Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 3 or more years of experience maintaining manufacturing machines & equipment
- Solid hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical working knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving ability
- Ability to read & interpret technical & operational documents (manuals, blueprints, schematics)
- Your own tried & true tools (wrenches, screw drivers, sockets, ratchet sets, etc.).
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You should be proficient in: 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems
- Electrical Troubleshooting
- Industrial Electrical Experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot & repair machine & manufacturing equipment for your assigned production lines
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Rebuild spare parts
- Participate in changeovers
- Complete trainings & earn certifications
