Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an opening for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to coordinate proactive maintenance and work performed at our site in Bend, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities with the objective of minimizing total maintenance cost and effort, by maximizing efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, at minimum.
  • Experience in engineering, maintenance, and/or facilities roles.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Able to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and vendor manuals/drawings.
  • Proficient in cost-conscious maintenance planning and scheduling.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate or degree in maintenance specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen incoming work orders to assess scope and required level of planning.
  • Coordinate work with the manufacturing department to ensure completion with minimal impact to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Maintain records of service cycles and other maintenance activities.
  • Manage PM/PdM/CM maintenance planning of all machinery and equipment.
  • Plan jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled trades workforce.
  • Perform cost analysis of maintenance activities and provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Perform long-range and short–range planning which include the regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
