About The Position

Reports to the Maintenance Department Manager and is responsible for all duties assigned by same. Primarily responsible for planning and coordinating all scheduled, preventive and predictive maintenance activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a planning role
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of operating systems (Windows), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct planning team.
  • Must be a team player and promote a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Working knowledge of a planning department and CMMS systems.
  • Work closely with MRO Supervisor /Maintenance Supervision/Engineering/Production Planning and Operations
  • Ensure assembly of all outstanding preventive work orders, new work order requests and completed work orders into a common list.
  • Review and prioritize workload in a group meeting including participants from production, quality, safety and sanitation.
  • Prepare AMMS work orders for each task on the list. Work orders to include estimated manpower requirements, equipment identification and a list of required parts.
  • Requisition any parts required and ensure parts are on hand. Parts are to be assembled into “kits” for rapid use by maintenance technicians.
  • Close out work orders completed throughout the week and enter actual man hours and parts used. Ensure parts used are removed from inventory in the AMMS system.
  • Continually update preventive work orders based on equipment issues identified during production / preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare planning and preventive work orders for major equipment rebuilds.
  • Work orders to include equipment identification, estimation of man hours required and detailed list of parts to be used.
  • Review major rebuild plan with interested parties including production, quality, safety and sanitation.
  • Review major rebuild work orders completed throughout the month and enter actual man hours and parts used.
  • Lead AMMS optimization efforts for the department.
  • Oversee parts inventory audits of critical pieces of equipment.
  • Review of manufacturers recommended spares and evaluation of historical parts used.
  • Review cost, lead time and reliability of parts with peers and other interested parties to build consensus regarding parts to be stocked and update AMMS inventory levels as needed.
  • Conduct predictive maintenance studies including infrared thermal imaging, vibration analysis, oil analysis, acoustic analysis, and electrical analysis (amps / MHz).
  • Perform analysis of equipment downtime to further develop and recommend Predictive Maintenance activities.
  • Plan and set up contractor interaction with maintenance team.
  • Provide weekly metrics on PM, work order completion.
  • May perform the duties of personnel supervised. Confers with Director of Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations or machine performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
