Thanks for your commitment to Tyson Foods. Management Level: Class 47 SUMMARY: This position is responsible for planning maintenance activities and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. This is a career path job with team members in this position gaining experience necessary for maintenance management. Specific responsibilities include: Maintaining SAP, PM System data and reporting. Analyzing data for use in maintenance planning and scheduling. Maintaining and developing enterprise-wide Best Practice preventative maintenance. Ensuring a continuing review of P.M. work orders as they relate to equipment history. Making recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization. Learning Universal Maintenance Standards to develop reasonable expectancies for the time to complete maintenance tasks. Identifying and labeling all new equipment in keeping with Tyson standards and keeping records current. Use of Key Performance Indicators to provide fact-based feedback to Maintenance Manager. Planning maintenance work regarding level of skill and safety training required to complete tasks. Reviewing SAP data from other Tyson locations with similar equipment and report findings and recommendations. Administering maintenance shift scheduling work order backlog and recommended planning for scheduled downtime work including scheduling availability of parts. Interfacing with engineering local management, Operations Support and various other corporate departments as necessary and outside entities when working on special projects and when performing CIR development content. Interfacing with Operations Support concerning appropriate reports to develop track and report to management.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of a high school or GED diploma preferred. Any special training in maintenance or education beyond post high school level is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years’ mechanical/maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of parts room procedures and policies helpful. Previous experience in successful planning and scheduling maintenance management is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP maintenance and Microsoft office suite in 90 days or less.
  • Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
  • Special Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, and problem-solving skills are an absolute necessity for this position. The position requires the ability to work independently.
  • Internal disqualifiers are the following: 6 or more attendance points Any suspension on record for the last 12 months
