This is “hands on” non-production operation role. Meeting USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards, and under the supervision of the Facilities Maintenance and Refrigeration Manager, the functions of this role are to be responsible for setting example for other technicians through training and coaching. Responsible for performing (or overseeing), preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, rebuilds and projects on all plant refrigeration, utility and facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Responding to calls in a professional, safe, and timely manner. (Down equipment takes priority over all other responsibilities). Track parts usage and order replacement parts as needed within specified budget. Manage contracted projects from start to finish. Assist Refrigeration Specialists as required. Boiler operation and maintenance. Participation in Process Safety Management (PSM).
