About The Position

The main function of the Maintenance Specialist is to maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment, automation as well as provide support to the assembly lines on a daily basis. The employee must comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) standards and being available for On-Job-training on all equipment. Availability to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, is required to support the production schedule and the completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Requirements

  • Dependable and safety conscious.

  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft office, email, computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and familiarity with the use of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) to diagnose and repair automated equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical/software equipment malfunctions, and, when necessary, interact with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) via telephone, TeamViewer, email, or through the manufacturer's application to complete the repair.
  • Capable of operating maintenance tools and equipment such as: Multi-meter, dial indicator, parallel gauge, surface grinder welder, grinder, hammer drill, band saw, torque wrench, precision level, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure while demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Associates degree in Industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, HVAC or 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • 0 years of experience with an associate degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience without an associate degree.

Nice To Haves

  • +1 year of experience in industrial maintenance with associate degree.
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Automation.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Safety, health, environmental, quality and human resources policies.
  • Get certified in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV), and Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP).
  • Get to know, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and provide technical support for production machinery, automation and assembly lines daily.
  • Learn and support preventive maintenance activities during regular business hours, weekends and scheduled shutdowns.
  • Get to know and maintain TRUMPF and Salvagnini style tooling.
  • Complete machinery downtime records and familiarize with the inventory system for critical spare parts.
  • Support the reworking of production materials following quality and engineering guidelines.
