About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for driving the day-to-day activities to ensure the successful operations of the Fiber Pad facility and equipment along with growth and expansion plans in the future. This role will coach, mentor and direct the work of their team while leading and performing projects and tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor will play an integral part in driving continuous improvement initiatives that help increase efficient and effective operations. The position works collaboratively with multiple departments within the company to help meet customer expectations and deadlines, ensuring successful long-term relationships with our customers and attainment of company goals.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a plant manufacturing maintenance role with progressive responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team, developing others through mentoring and coaching, while establishing accountability with performance.
  • Electrical maintenance experience working with up to 480 voltage, 3 phase electrical, reading schematics
  • PLC experience
  • Performing preventative maintenance on machinery such as routing machines, formers
  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, and ERP system. Visual preferred but not required.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, understand measurements and compare product details to customer specifications.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks at once with interruptions.
  • Strong editing, proofreading and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand and properly utilize tools with accuracy.
  • Technical aptitude to understand machinery within a manufacturing production environment.
  • Ability to interact with customers and Leadership in a professional manner.
  • High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment, and willingness to motivate and support others, supporting the Core Values of Fiber Pad.
  • Ability to use hands, including fingers to hold, touch, see, feel, grip, squeeze, push and pull as required for testing but also performing computer work.
  • Ability to perform pushing, pulling and forward exertion on a regular basis.
  • Ability to have overhead extension with arms on a semi-regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, crouch and squat frequently.
  • Ability to see near and far, utilize peripheral vision and depth perception for tasks being performed, as well as visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and drawings, small parts, viewing a computer screen for extended periods of time, and extensive reading.
  • Ability to bend and twist neck to monitor machine production accuracy.
  • Ability to hear at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to regularly lift and or move up to 50lbs on a frequent basis as needed for tooling products.
  • Ability to understand and communicate verbally, in person and over paging system.
  • Ability to meet requirements of and utilize all PPE when required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform all equipment, grounds and facility maintenance, repair, improvement and installation efforts.
  • Lead and train maintenance team, providing mentorship and direction on tasks while providing coaching and training to improve skills and develop talent.
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules for equipment.
  • Source and negotiate service contracts for external vendors, sourcing machinery parts and related supplies.
  • Plan and propose strategic capital expenditures for annual budgeting purposes.
  • Works with senior leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive efficiencies in building operations and machine operations.
  • Maintain all inspection, audit and maintenance records.
  • Drive facilities safety, security and emergency preparedness for the property and employees.
  • Lead and support safety excellence by holding team members accountable to safety policies, procedures and identifying safety needs and improvements.
  • Additional duties as needed or assigned.
