Under the direction of the Automation & Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing aspects of the maintenance department to include equipment maintenance, review of downtime, training, and safety of the Maintenance Technicians. Essential Functions: Ensure that proper preventive and predictive maintenance is being performed on specified molding equipment assets in a prescribed time frame, including but not limited to material handling system, injection molding machines, water towers, air compressors and auxiliary equipment. In addition, department personnel will be supervised & developed through proper hiring practices, specific job training, & safety awareness. Other duties assigned: Maintain appropriate staffing levels. Interviews, trains, assigns and evaluates direct reports work.Follow HT orientation procedures with each new employee.Implement/assist in setting up specific training programs.Responsible for time and attendance reporting, completing performance/competency evaluations, competency/training logs, providing feedback, motivation and disciplinary actions for employees in assigned departments.Ensure that employees in assigned department(s) comply with all Health, Safety and Regulatory programs. Ensure machine/equipment repair records are maintained by department personnel in the CMMS program.Ensure that key process equipment inventory is maintained, by employing preset reorder points, & reorder quantities on the CMMS program.Work with repair vendors on receiving quotations/services or materials.Meet with the Facilities & Maintenance Manager to review & make recommendations to stay within metrics reporting.Ensure that the manufacturing and maintenance areas are kept in a safe working condition within the scope of machines & equipment.Ensure that the Lock Out/Tag Out Program and Hazardous Communications is being carried out properly. Set a good example. Verify received invoices correspond with the appropriate services and materials provided from vendors.Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Manager to ensure operating expenditure stays within allotted budget.Provide/implement recommendations to Facilities & Maintenance Manager for systems improvements.Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO14001 certification by supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.Work with other departments/groups to provide resolution to various issues within the company. Complete audits on all “authorized” personnel for correct Lock Out/Tag Out, mercury spill containment, spill prevention control & countermeasure procedures. Ensure that all molding machines are properly guarded. Safety switches and safety interlocks are working properly.Work with the Facilities & Maintenance Manager to complete projects as assigned.Monitor incoming chemicals for proper approvals in applicable areas. Ensure that documented procedures are followed.Attend classes or seminars of relevance as necessary.Attend and successfully complete forklift certification class.Perform other duties as assigned.
