About The Position

Are you looking to be part of a great Maintenance Team? Otterbein is looking to add a dedicated and motivated Maintenance Technician II to our team! Shift: 1st shift Candidates with experience and a willingness to be part of a great team are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable
  • Experience: HVAC and electrical required, maintenance experience in a maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
  • Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed.
  • Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
  • Assists with the on-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
  • Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
  • Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.
