Requirements

  • Preferred 4-6 years of Crown, Yale, and Raymond forklift repair experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, ability to read schematics and basic welding.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels as well as read and write English.
  • Capable of using a wide variety of hand tools and various electric/mechanical testing devices.
  • Problem solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years on Forklift experience (Forklift Certification preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution maintenance.
  • Knowledge and experience in Safety and OSHA desired.

Nice To Haves

  • ETA Certification in Industrial Refrigeration Course One (Is a Plus Not Required)
  • Successful completion of recertification every three (3) years of RETA Industrial Refrigeration Course One. (Is a Plus Not Required)

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other power industrial trucks.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues to minimize down time on Crown, Yale, and Raymond brand lifts.
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoist, cranes, hand tools and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Responsible for the care and upkeep of the building, material handling equipment, and refrigeration systems.
  • Identify current and future maintenance requirements by establishing rapport with management and personnel.
  • Review preventative maintenance reports and statistics; inspect operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards.
  • Resolve maintenance problems by conferring with Maintenance I and/or management.
  • Protect employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Collaborate departmental workflow between warehouse, production, office, and corporate administrative departments.
  • Support assigned duties of warehouse management to assist in the business of the facility.
