About The Position

Maintenance technicians provide technical support, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and rebuild machines, perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned, and respond to breakdowns professionally and on time while following all safety protocols. Working knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.

Requirements

Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics (know symbols)
Able to mentor and train Technicians 1 and 2
In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to understand relay logic
Ability to perform major electrical repairs
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
Able to design and implement equipment improvements
Able to troubleshoot PLC systems to component level
Able to download or upload PLC programs
Able to change and program drives and HMIs
Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley and Omron programs
Able to select replacement parts for obsolete components
Able to make changes to programs when needed
Able to perform PMs on all equipment
Ability to write PMs
Able to lead, critique, and improve Kaizens
Able to champion, guide, and present 6s projects
Participate in regular 6s activities
Able and willing to correct PPE violations when seen and report continued violations to leads
Ability to identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions
All prior knowledge and skills requirements for lower levels of technician
Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job
5+ years of experience in: • Industrial maintenance • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems • DC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches, and electric motors • PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Direct Logic
High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

Repair, maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Coordinate maintenance processes with the production department in a way in which the production output and packaging is least affected
Respond to calls from production and management to make repairs
Perform established preventative maintenance programs
Assist with all aspects of new equipment installation
Assist management with scheduling maintenance projects
Maintain accurate and complete departmental records
Record all work in Fiix CMMS
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/schematics
Ensure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements
Follow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standards
Work with contractors as needed
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs
