About The Position

Requirements

• Adhere to and perform work in accordance with Zipline’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
• Perform UAS Maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
• Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical and software
• Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly experience
• Experience performing precision work with hand tools
• Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends, etc.
• Must be able to travel 5-10%, as necessary
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds
• Must have a valid US Driver's License
• Must be able to receive FAA Repairmen Certification
• This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive opportunity, and is therefore subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
• Will experience 80% + travel in first 3 months including offsite/remote training
• This is 6 month contract with an opportunity to move into a full time position

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in aircraft maintenance or similar technician role
• Experience in the use of manuals, training materials, and operational procedures for sUAS operations
• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
• Ensuring the aircraft conforms to high standards
• Ensuring the aircraft is in safe operating condition
• Ensuring that all procedures are followed and documented appropriately
• Work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
