As a Maintenance Technician I, your work directly supports that mission by ensuring our manufacturing equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably—so patients receive the high‑quality products they depend on. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of prior maintenance experience on automated manufacturing machines/equipment.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Maximo preferred.
  • Familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron). SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred.
  • Experience with motor controls, variable speed/variable frequency drives, servos, stepper motors, high speed packaging equipment, pneumatic systems.
  • Candidate must be capable of reading and working with electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, building drawings, and part diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity sensors, temperature controllers, inkjet printers, and vision systems (Cognex, Keyence preferred).
  • Experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed manufacturing/filling and packaging equipment, including pick-and-place systems, conveyors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, continuous inkjet printing systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations.
  • Good procedural writing skills.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Windows based software, email, Microsoft Office Suite, internet sites, and PDFs).
  • Electrical knowledge and experience with AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-Phase, relays, switches, sensors, solenoids, servo motors, low voltage systems.
  • Incumbent must work in a clean room environment, wearing special garments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn due to safety requirements.
  • This position involves working around moving equipment.
  • Must be able to work in Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV Controlled Environment which may include the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, isolation mask, gown, hood, boots or shoe covers, face shield, insulated gloves and disposable gloves.
  • The position requires the ability to individually lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance.
  • Normal visual acuity is necessary including the ability to distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Technical school training.
  • SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on medical IV solution filling and packaging equipment
  • Working with automated systems, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and motor controls
  • Diagnosing electrical problems using schematics, drawings, multi-meters, and diagnostic tools
  • Resolves issues related to equipment, process, compliance; performs unscheduled maintenance and responds to trouble calls in a timely manner.
  • Supporting equipment reliability through daily preventive maintenance .
  • Maintaining and improving equipment using root cause analysis
  • Ensure work order system, maintenance, and facility procedures are followed and completed properly, including pre-approvals and signoffs
  • Documenting work accurately in the CMMS (Maximo preferred) and following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Performing equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations
  • Partnering with EHS and Quality teams to ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Working safely at all times while following Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety programs.
