About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician I supports Operations to ensure equipment is available when requested and operating in the condition specified. The Maintenance Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility. ATTENDANCE: Regular and punctual attendance is required. Role requires onsite leadership. Not able to support remote work from home accommodations. LANGUAGE SKILLS: English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as appropriate to the position. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written oral and/or diagram form. Ability to define and solve problems and collect data. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment Assess situation, reports observations, and applies standardized work procedures as appropriate Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Reports consumption of parts and supplies Records maintenance actions for later analysis, and summarizing of information and trends ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates leadership skills and skills of persuasion, including the ability to effectively manage others using positive motivational techniques, support, and guidance Sets goals, prioritizes projects and follows through to completion, while maintaining a budget and following set timetables Uses critical thinking skills to analyze and determine the root cause of issues and implement appropriate solutions Seeks out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices Complies with all processes and procedures regarding time and attendance Develops, implements, and follows through on incentive programs to improve compliance, cleanliness, and safety, as appropriate Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and completes duties within allotted time Accesses continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities Always demonstrates honesty and integrity. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
1 year experience working Proficiency in at least one trade (electrical 3-phase, motion & programmable logic controls, mechanics, HVAC, pneumatics, welding, pipe fitting, etc.)
Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
