About The Position

An Advanced Level Maintenance Technician at Tennessee Performing Arts Center is responsible for maintaining all facilities in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to the standards of guest service. This role requires schedule flexibility and is primarily evening and weekend work to support theater operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have flexible schedule to include working nights and weekends.
  • Previous maintenance experience.
  • Basic skills required with computers.
  • Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, EPA, or HVAC certified
  • Trade School Diploma/Certificate
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a team-based culture focused on respect, communication, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Perform daily rounds-check restrooms, offices, common areas, lighting, refrigeration, and room temperatures.
  • Attend to any work orders and internal service requests.
  • Maintain all Facilities and Operating Systems in a safe and efficient working order.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner.
  • Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed.
  • Maintain records of all work activities and support materials.
  • Provide written reports to other departments as needed.
  • Provide for safe disposal of all waste material.
  • Maintain tools and work area in safe, secure and efficient manner.
  • Work with other departments when directed.
  • Keep track of supplies and fill out requisition for needed supplies.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and back of house spaces.
  • Perform advanced electrical, refrigeration and HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide supervision of other maintenance personnel.
