We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the equipment that produces our delicious Odom’s TN Pride Breakfast Sandwiches at our Jackson, TN manufacturing facility. You will report to a Maintenance Manager and join a team of about 60. First few weeks you will be training on 1st shift. Shift: This role is 2nd shift, 3:30pm - 1:30am. Days: Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays Hourly Rate: $30.53 plus 0.50 cents shift differential Maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following responsibilities to ensure SQF (Safe Quality Food); food safety and Quality Assurance of product when being produced. Trains on the job to improve their skills, knowledge and ability of maintenance job responsibilities and practices. You will be working in a food manufacturing facility with cold temperatures. You will be working exclusively with a carton former machine. #LI-onsite

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical Certification or Degree in maintenance related field preferred or experience in lieu of.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following responsibilities to ensure SQF (Safe Quality Food); food safety and Quality Assurance of product when being produced.
• Trains on the job to improve their skills, knowledge and ability of maintenance job responsibilities and practices.
• You will be using hand tools, power tools, and shop tools as required.
• You will have the ability to respond, troubleshoot, correct, and return down equipment back to production in a timely manner.
• You will be able to visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment for functionality and efficiency, including adjacent equipment and the interactions between all equipment.
• You will be able to detect problems with machinery during floor visits and PMs scheduled and follows the correct path to address those issues and ensure equipment uptime.
• You will be maintaining all qualifying classes needed for job. (MEWP, Confined Space, etc)
• You will be able to maintain Certified Forklift Operator Status.
• You will have to display knowledge of in depth mechanical and electrical systems.
• You should be able to apply complex problem-solving techniques, while working to determine root-cause and correct base or underlying problems.
• You should be able to use SAP to retrieve work orders and work and manage their own time to complete all assignments as needed without oversight.
• You should be able to use company supplied computers to keep up with emails, requests and needs.
