About The Position

As part of their employment, the Maintenance Technician will be provided with a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on-site at the property. The duties of the position shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

Requirements

Experience in building maintenance or experience in the trades
Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair
Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies
Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs

Nice To Haves

HVAC certification preferred

Responsibilities

Perform minor electrical work, including but not limited to replacing outlets, ballasts, switches, light bulbs, and working with contractors.
Perform minor plumbing work, including but not limited to unclogging drain lines, fixture replacement, and working with contractors.
Perform basic HVAC repairs and maintenance, and work with contractors.
Perform general service duties, including but not limited to cleaning and painting mechanical rooms, and developing inventory tool storage.
Respond to tenant and resident requests for services.
Respond to emergency situations 24/7 as necessary.
Assist in the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program, an energy management system, and property management software.
Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
Preserve general upkeep and cleanliness of the community through grounds maintenance and snow removal, if necessary.
Adhere to applicable building, county, and safety codes/standards.
