Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) LOCATION: Baytown - Texas - USA DEPARTMENT: INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS Purpose Performs mechanic and electric inspections, diagnosis and corrective actions autonomously, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards. Schedule: This position will be required to work a rotational schedule with occasional overtime. Environment: This position will work in an industrial, non-climate controlled setting.

Responsibilities

Performs mechanic and hydraulic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.
Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced mechanic and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions.
Builds hydraulic piping and installs accessories.
Disassembles and assembles complex mechanical components
Performs optical equipment alignments.
Verifies and ensures the availability of resources and spare parts needed for the execution of programmed tasks.
Interprets technical drawing.
Operates welding equipment.
Executes machine lock outs and tag outs.
Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
Cooperates with the Base Group in preventive activities.
Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
