Duties & Responsibilities As a Maintenance Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Maintenance, Millwright, Electrical, or Electronic certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Training or demonstrated experience in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Training or experience in mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of WHMIS regulations and safe material handling practices.
  • Understanding of injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Familiarity with Quality and Environmental Management System procedures relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of forms, tags, and labeling standards associated with maintenance activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance, Millwright, Electrical, or Electronic certification preferred.
  • Basic machining and welding skills are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment according to the established PM schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems to maintain optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic issues in machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems as they arise.
  • Accurately document corrective actions and completed maintenance activities.
  • Identify safety concerns and promptly address or repair unsafe conditions.
  • Record all maintenance and repair activities on PM documentation and forms.
  • Ensure adequate lighting and safe working conditions in maintenance areas.
  • Support the maintenance team by completing additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Senior Management.
