About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment and facilities during overnight operations. Working hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain machinery to minimize downtime and support continuous production across the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Ability to work 3rd shift (overnight schedule) independently and reliably

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding, machining, conveyors, automation, or robotics is a plus
  • Forklift and lift equipment experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support overnight production by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues
  • Install, dismantle, align, and relocate machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures and repair methods
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls during 3rd shift operations
  • Work independently during overnight hours while coordinating with supervisors, operations, and other skilled trades as needed
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Dismantle machines using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and power tools
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, forklifts, and lift trucks
  • Assemble and install industrial equipment including conveyors, shafting, and rails
  • Construct and repair machine foundations using materials such as wood, cement, and steel
  • Align machines and equipment using precision tools such as micrometers, plumb bobs, squares, levels, jacks, and hoists
  • Secure machinery to foundations or structures by bolting, welding, riveting, or fastening
  • Operate engine lathes or machining equipment as needed to fabricate or modify parts
  • Repair, lubricate, and perform routine servicing of machinery and equipment
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated or robotic equipment; modify programs using teach pendants when required
  • Partner with Operations to ensure equipment is production-ready at the start of each shift
  • Work with Safety and Quality teams to ensure compliance with SOPs, LOTO procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Document maintenance activities, completed repairs, and follow-up needs for shift transitions
