About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of activities related to the service, repair, and preventive maintenance of machines, equipment, and facility structures. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is properly maintained and operating at optimal performance. This role is critical to ensuring "uptime" by bridging the gap between mechanical hardware, pneumatic power, and electronic control systems. In this role, you will work 1st Shift, 7AM-3:30PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mechanical Proficiency in disassembling, repairing, and aligning high-speed rotating equipment, gearboxes, drive trains, and conveyors.
  • Ability to use precision-measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to meet tight tolerances.
  • Expert knowledge of compressed air systems, including valves, solenoids, cylinders, and FRL (Filter-Regulator-Lubricator) units.
  • Must be able to trace pneumatic circuits and troubleshoot pressure drops or leakages.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control circuits, sensors (inductive, capacitive, photo-eye), and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
  • Basic understanding of PLC logic to diagnose whether a fault is hardware or software-based.

  • Diagnose and repair systems where mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic components interface (e.g., PLC-controlled actuators or servo-driven conveyors).
  • Identify process bottlenecks and suggest technical upgrades to reduce waste, rework, and non-value-added activities.
  • Support team decision-making and provide technical mentorship to equipment operators to improve machine longevity.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using a root-cause analysis approach to prevent recurring issues.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting using multi-meters, schematics (electrical and pneumatic), and technical manuals.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Commission and calibrate new machinery, ensuring sensors and actuators are integrated correctly with the plant's control systems.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and precision-measuring equipment.
  • Disassemble equipment to repair or replace worn or broken components.
  • Adjust and align mechanical parts as needed.
  • Clean, lubricate, and inspect equipment and components.
  • Inspect completed repairs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Order and requisition replacement parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Prepare reports related to breakdowns, downtime, and part availability.
  • Track shift metrics to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and production floor.
  • Identify, label, and stage parts for maintenance activities.
  • Perform limited electrical repairs as required (within scope and qualification).
