About The Position

Responsible for keeping all facilities in operating order to ensure members and employees can function in a professional environment.

Requirements

  • A two year college degree or equivalent or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Mechanical, electrical, flooring, painting, carpentry and plumbing skills required.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to successfully complete tasks without direct supervision.
  • Must be flexible and dependable.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

  • Must have a basic working knowledge of personal computers, with the ability to use the internet and e-mail.

Responsibilities

  • Performs minor construction and design to include estimating
  • Installs banking equipment
  • Maintains good vendor/contractor relations
  • Performs minor locksmith work and security installs
  • Assists in the collection, safeguarding, and preparation of sensitive trash for shredding.
  • Provides general maintenance to all facilities of the credit union as needed.
  • Completes a regular maintenance schedule for all facilities.
  • Makes recommendations to the Facilities Manager on maintenance projects or repairs that need to be accomplished by an outside vendor.
  • Obtains bids on maintenance projects that need an outside vendor.
  • Maintains KFCU facilities to ensure compliance with fire code standards.
  • Makes purchases and recommendations of tools and equipment needed to accomplish maintenance projects.
  • Maintains the equipment and tools needed to complete maintenance functions.
  • Conducts routine generator testing, monitors fuel levels, and assures factory preventative maintenance procedures are completed.
  • Assists Retail Operations Department with budget preparation based on future needs at branches.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
  • Serves as back up for supply delivery or check runs when needed.
  • Assists other employees with the moving of furniture or other heavy objects as needed.
  • Assists in disaster preparedness and recovery.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
