About The Position

The Role: Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks and assignments including the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility infrastructure. Key focus will be on production equipment uptime and reliability, identify preventative maintenance opportunities for recurrent failures, safety, troubleshooting equipment and process improvements. In this role you will: Be exposed to hot and cold climates, and dusty or dirty environments Work dayshift Monday-Friday and be on-call once about every six weeks Walk the production line daily and look for abnormalities in the equipment Troubleshoot production issues with support from the maintenance team and/or engineering Identify and maintain stock of spare parts necessary to repair machinery Use the company paperwork process to document maintenance activities, time, and resources allocated Repair blowers, vacuum pumps, industrial gas fired furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Learn new skills and improve others. Troubleshoot, electrical components such as: contactors, switches, relays, and controllers Maintain a clean and safe work area. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment. Perform duties in a safe manner and observe approved safety procedures. Support projects and help improve the manufacturing process Take charge to resolve issues as soon as they are found Train operators to improve day-to-day machine operations and update documents if needed Work as a team or independently as the tasks require Identify areas to improve or create PM procedures to reduce equipment failures Will support installation on new equipment, retrofitting old equipment, and facility capital projects Traits we believe will make a strong candidate: High School Diploma or equivalent required 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Maintenance Tech preferred Experience working on industrial equipment like, high-temperature furnaces, plant cooling water systems, powder transfer systems, etc. Automation knowledge to troubleshoot control panels, relays, automated motion systems, PLC’s, etc. Ability to read P&IDs, wiring schematics, and engineering drawings Knowledgeable with machine shop equipment like milling, lathes, drill presses, band saw etc. Experience with a change control policy and documentation; good communication and follows protocols Ability to work occasionally on-call on weekends and nights as required Willing to adapt to changing responsibilities based on production priorities Able to climb stairs and ladders, and safely lift 50 lbs. Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Able to pass pre-employment physical Some Flexibility in working schedule due to projects, breakdown situations, etc. Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws. Ability to use measuring devices and hand/power tools. Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder up to 15 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift. Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward and handle small screws, washers, fasteners, etc. All employees go through 30-day on-the-job training in a fast-paced, hard-working environment. All employees are expected to be flexible, working in varying departments as needed.
