The role of the Maintenance Technician’s will work on all mechanical and equipment issues, preventative maintenance and minor electrical repairs as needed. S/he needs to know and understand the function and construction of the equipment and machine foundation and operation. S/he will communicate regularly with employees and management on equipment status. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery in line with established programs and schedules. Must be able to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot machine problems to prevent serious mechanical failures Perform mechanical as well as electrical installations and repair on all machinery throughout the plant. Maintain proper records on all machines and maintenance work. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a spare parts inventory. Specify and communicate spare parts needing to be procured. Perform maintenance on all safety guards and devices including the wiring of all electrical devices to meet NEC codes. Perform troubleshooting of PLC controlled equipment. Comply with established internal LOTO Safety procedures. Work with Safety Coordinator and Plant Engineer on ergonomic and equipment modifications as needed.
