About The Position

Are you interested in a position that you can grow with? Schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30am -4:30pm. Overtime as needed. Compensation is $19-21/hour plus benefits. Eurofins Environment Testing is looking is looking for a Maintenance Technician in our Derry, New Hampshire laboratory . This position will perform a variety of janitorial and maintenance duties in support of laboratory operations. Assists in shipping and receiving as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and relate well to people in direct communication
• Consciousness of and a positive attitude toward quality, service and safety procedures\
• Hazardous Waste training will be provided
• Material training will be provided.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Must have a valid US drivers license without recent incident.
• Will drive company provided vehicle.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• All offers of employment are contingent upon a successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school Chemistry or Biology coursework a plus
• Basic laboratory experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Removes trash and recyclables from all laboratory areas daily.
• Separates recyclable trash into appropriate bins.
• Performs daily maintenance activities.
• Stocks all copy machines with paper daily.
• Serves as a back-up for shipping and receiving department
• Prepare bottle kits with chemicals as needed
• Drive to client sites to pick up samples as needed
• All other duties as assigned by Manager.
