Join our team as a Maintenance Technician in the Rockford Area! Are you a troubleshooting expert who enjoys working with your hands? We’re hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician in the Rockford area to handle day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and help keep our properties operating at their best.

Requirements

• At least one year of maintenance or building maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements
• Strong customer service skills with a resident-first mindset
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and work occasional evenings or weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs for electrical, plumbing, and appliances
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance tasks
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists
• Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal
• Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and pool areas (if applicable)
• Support seasonal maintenance needs including snow removal and weather preparation.
