This is a 3rd Shift, Full Time position. Suitable Candidates will be able to cover and work any shift Benefits available from day one. What You’ll Do: Gain comprehensive understanding of how the equipment’s mechanical systems are built and operate. Troubleshoot and solve any issues related to the equipment’s hardware. Follow manufacturer’s guidelines/manuals for service, repair, and set up. Respond quickly to any problem causing equipment down time. Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure equipment can meet its availability requirements. Keep accurate records of all work performed at the customer. Additional duties as assigned. The Mechanical Technician works precisely and carefully to assemble equipment according to engineering drawings in-house and at the customer’s site. Assists in the commissioning of machines and systems and responds to customer’s service needs. Cross-disciplinary work is required with all trades, external companies, suppliers, and manufacturers. Diagnoses causes of malfunctions or failures and advises and helps implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or Associate’s Degree or equivalent from technical college in related field.
  • 3+ years of previous maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks on all equipment.
  • Fabricates metal structures through cutting and welding.
  • Repairs and keeps physical structures maintained using hand tools and power tools.
  • Observes safety precautions, rules, and regulations.
  • Installs and repairs hydraulic equipment, values and cylinders.
  • Inspects, tests, repairs machinery, equipment and facility.
  • Installs and repairs electrical equipment, transformer and wiring.
  • Installs and repairs pneumatic equipment, values and cylinders.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
