About The Position

Wilson Trailer has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Technician Position. This is an excellent career opportunity with a leader in the truck trailer industry. We have an opening on our night shift working 3:30pm to 3:00 am, Monday through Thursday. We offer an attractive starting wage depending on experience along with scheduled increases and a full benefit package. We offer a night shift differential of $1.75 an hour. Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance work.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Average computer skills; ability to navigate computer systems for various tasks.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate clearly and concisely using the English Language.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective equipment (PPE) (Protective eyewear, hearing protection, hardhat, steel-toe boots, welding mask, protective glove-leather or otherwise)
  • A pre-employment drug test will be required.
  • A Background Check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a safety inspection of hoist chains, forklifts, and all tools used to ensure safety.
  • Ability to read and understand prints of machines and other items to be able to identify and fix issues that arise.
  • Have an understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic schematics.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance.
  • Will need to workday shift or a split shift for a few months until training is complete.
  • Will be required to take a written test on knowledge.
  • Must be self-motivated, can work independently or in a team.
  • Can fabricate parts if needed by using a mill, lathe and/or welder.
