About The Position

As part of the Pronto team and broader Tech24 network, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the performance, reliability, and overall condition of our customers' equipment. This position performs a range of preventative maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail. The primary goal of this role is to ensure refrigeration and foodservice equipment operates efficiently.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in commercial maintenance (trade school or field experience welcomed)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with little supervision
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
• Own industry standard hand tools
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, replace broken switches etc.)
• Maintain filtration systems by replacing filters to ensure functionality
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix lock, door hinges, replace gaskets etc.)
• Assist in the set up of refrigeration and other systems and conduct minor repairs when necessary
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Follow EPA, safety, and company compliance standards
• Maintain tools, truck inventory, and job site cleanliness
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs
• Assist with emergency service calls alongside experienced technicians as needed
