Will assist in the upkeep and repair of facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks and supporting skilled tradespeople to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge in the use of Microsoft programs (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • One year’s experience in a maintenance field. some on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems a plus, with familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Working knowledge in related trades to building maintenance and repair
  • Ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Able to work at heights, ladders, single, and double-man lifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Maintenance setting, in commercial/industrial facilitie. The role may involve both indoor and outdoor tasks, requiring adaptability to different environments and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Maintenance Tasks: Help with routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and installations of equipment, paint and light fixtures.
  • Conduct Inspections: Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and ensure everything is functioning properly.
  • Respond to Requests: Address emergency maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner. Collaborate with staff and upper management to resolve maintenance issues
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep maintenance areas organized and clean, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Report Issues: Communicate ongoing tasks and potential issues to the maintenance supervisor regularly.
