Requirements
- Combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- License : Possession of a valid California Class C driver license and an acceptable drivers record, or ability to obtain driver's license prior to appointment, may be required.
Nice To Haves
- related experience and knowledge of common tools used in landscape maintenance and plant care, and the operation of small motorized equipment.
Responsibilities
- Urban Forestry This position will primarily require driving a City vehicle along an assigned water route to support the care of newly planted trees.
- Duties include filling and maintaining water bags, ensuring trees are properly staked and supported, and performing light weeding and general upkeep of tree wells.
- The Maintenance Trainee will also help monitor tree health, identify basic maintenance needs, and assist with routine landscaping tasks.
