About The Position

Precision Mammographic Imaging: Expertly operates specialized equipment to perform high-quality screenings, ensuring accurate patient positioning and technical parameter selection for optimal diagnostic clarity. Preventive Health Education: Empowers patients by providing clear procedure explanations and essential education on the critical role of regular mammography in breast health and early detection. Quality Assurance & Data Integrity: Evaluates images for technical excellence, including contrast and definition, while ensuring meticulous documentation and prompt submission to PACS. Operational Safety & Compliance: Maintains a high-functioning clinical environment by strictly adhering to radiation safety guidelines and performing proactive equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiology credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Requires completion of a federally approved 40 hour mammography training course within 3 Months (90 days) of hire and completion of 25 supervised mammography studies to meet Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) requirements.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
