About the position

As a Mammography Technician PRN with HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, you will perform a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Your responsibilities will include operating mammography equipment, maintaining records, and developing and organizing films for presentation to the radiologist. You will establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow co-workers, other departments, and Medical Staff, working under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for detecting pathology.
  • Operate mammography equipment and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and organize films for presentation to the radiologist.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and medical staff.

Requirements

  • Registered with the ARRT (R) & (M) required
  • State Certified as a General Radiographer
  • BLS certification
  • Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Ability to perform all mammographic procedures according to established guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified in Bone Density and Mammo preferred
