About The Position

The Mammography Technologist accepts independent clinical and non-clinical tasks as necessary to provide specific Mammography services to adult populations. Coordinates and manages projects for the Mobile Women’s Health Unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program.
  • ARRT Certified in mammography.
  • Demonstrate ability to obtain and record accurate information into electronic medical records software.
  • Experience with written and verbal communication skills with patient population.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.

  • Previous related experience.
  • Previous clinic or primary practice experience.
  • Bilingual
  • Prior EPIC EMR usage

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the daily operations of assigned Mobile Clinic.
  • Performs screening mammography to comply with MQSA.
  • Use of safety devices / shields/ aprons to assure maximum radiation safety.
  • Follows “Universal Precautions” for safety regulations; uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as task on hand requires.
  • Follows the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines and Variety Care policies and procedures as they relate to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommendations for the workplace.
  • Dispose of contaminated items in accordance to Variety Care policy.
  • Maintain accurate records for daily clinic operations, demographic data, and manage follow up treatment with any patient/parent after appointments.
  • Maintain and manage on-board inventory of supplies, instruments, infection control and housekeeping.
  • Promptly report any malfunctions of the equipment or the Mobile Van to your supervisor
  • Always be a positive representative of the Mobile Unit team.
  • In collaboration with your department, work towards the implementation of the Mobile Van Team’s current strategic plan and the accomplishment of the related strategic and aspirational goals.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality regarding medical records and personal information.
