About The Position

The Manager, Business Analytics is a key member of the Novolex Business Intelligence and Procurement organization. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced analytics and automation solutions that support pricing, category strategy, and commercial decision-making. This role partners with business leaders to translate data into scalable insights and operational tools, leveraging modern analytics techniques and automation platforms. The Manager oversees a team of Category Analysts responsible for designing, developing, and standardizing scalable analytics, dashboards, data automation, and reporting that enable strategic procurement decisions, enhance category performance visibility, and streamline processes across the business. This is a highly strategic and hands‑on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong analytical acumen, and demonstrates a “business owner” mindset.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or business analysis roles.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong Power BI and data‑modeling expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience with automation, including data preparation and reporting workflows.
  • High analytical capability with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience supporting procurement, finance, or operations preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience modernizing reporting processes and establishing enterprise dashboards.
  • Exposure to SAP, Blue Yonder, or other enterprise data systems.
  • Prior experience with advanced analytics tools, scripting languages, or large‑scale BI environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2–3 Category Analysts.
  • Set analytical priorities aligned with category and business strategy.
  • Ensure consistent methodology, documentation, and quality across all analytics deliverables.
  • Own development, delivery, and maintenance of dashboards and analytics for:
  • Category performance
  • Supplier metrics
  • Savings and value tracking
  • Spend visibility
  • Translate business needs into scalable analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure high data accuracy, consistency, and business relevance.
  • Communicate insights clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities for recurring reports, manual data preparation, and repetitive analyses.
  • Drive adoption of Power BI, Power Query/Power Automate, and SQL/scripting tools across the team.
  • Standardize processes and develop repeatable analytical frameworks and data products.
  • Serve as the analytics partner to procurement category leadership.
  • Support category strategies with opportunity sizing, scenario modeling, trend analysis, KPI reporting, and data modeling.
  • Collaborate with internal operational, procurement, and finance stakeholders to deliver accurate, actionable insights.
