About the position

Red Bull Records is an independent, full-service record label focused on the long-term development of artists, boasting a diverse lineup spanning various musical genres. The Manager of Commercial Marketing role seeks a highly motivated self-starter who has a strong passion for e-commerce, streaming, release strategies, data analysis, and insights. This individual will support the Director of Global Digital Account Management in implementing integrated commercial strategies and fostering relationships with accounts worldwide. They will oversee all releases in collaboration with our distributor, consistently providing reports, insights, and communication to both internal teams and artists regarding the performance of our content. This position requires someone with a genuine passion for music, consumer behavior, and fan-driven economies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the global release schedule, ensuring a balanced cadence of releases across the roster.
  • Provide our distribution partner, The Orchard, with the necessary information and tools required for new release pitching.
  • Monitor competitor releases, major holidays, and campaign milestones in collaboration with streaming and retail partners.
  • Oversee physical releases with our distributor by setting up releases for production, reviewing manufacturing quantities and vendor selections.
  • Maintain the relationship with our merchandising partner, in coordination with the Operations team.
  • Assist the Director of Global Digital Account Management in managing relationships with global digital platforms.
  • Develop and present engaging pitches for artists to inspire and connect with partners.
  • Consistently update the label and other teams on the progress of artist campaigns, new initiatives, and account-related activities.
  • Lead data and insight management, along with weekly reporting.
  • Provide supporting data and information to the internal team to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee analytics, market trends, and insights to identify opportunities and gain an understanding of consumer behavior on streaming platforms.
  • Analyze data to generate actionable insights that help guide and sustain campaigns.
  • Keep up-to-date with trends in music, streaming, song performance, and competitor releases.

Requirements

  • 3+ years prior experience at a record label, distributor or DSP handling content and/or production.
  • Demonstrated experience in account/client management, physical/digital content sales.
  • Deep understanding of streaming analytics, clear reporting and strategic analysis to develop actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve operational, reporting, technology, and business issues to ensure efficiency.
  • Must be collaborative with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Impactful presentational skills to convey information and results clearly.
  • Ability to take broad campaign concepts and translate into partner specific initiatives that result in sales/streams and impressions.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word & Presentation platforms, DSP analytics (eg Workstation, Spotify/Apple For Artists etc).
