About The Position

The Manager, Content & Communications plays a key role in building and scaling GTIA’s owned content and communications engine across podcasts, blogs, video, and GTIA On Location. This role helps turn editorial priorities into clear, compelling content that informs the channel, strengthens GTIA’s visibility, and supports engagement and growth goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting editorial operations and content execution, managing written and multimedia production, coordinating podcast and video series, supporting the development of GTIA’s News Hub, assisting with interviews and event coverage, and working with external PR agencies on logistics and execution. The role is primarily focused on coordination, production, and delivery, with some travel required to support on-site interviewing, content capture, and live storytelling at GTIA and industry events.

Requirements

  • Experience in journalism, broadcasting, content marketing, media, or editorial roles, ideally within the IT channel or B2B technology.
  • Demonstrated experience writing, interviewing, and producing content across multiple formats.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent journalistic instincts and editorial judgment for the IT channel; strong reporting, interviewing, and AP-style writing/editing.
  • Proven ability to translate research, programs, and member stories into clear, compelling narratives and headlines.
  • Experience supporting content production across written, audio, and digital formats, with an understanding of how content is adapted and distributed across platforms.
  • Familiarity with social and platform-native content practices, including repurposing and audience engagement fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting interviews and spokesperson preparation, including briefing materials and coordination in partnership with PR agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workflows.
  • Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders and external freelancers or vendors.
  • Comfort reviewing basic content performance metrics and applying insights to improve future execution.
  • Clear, reliable communicator who works well in a support role and across teams.
  • High attention to detail with strong standards for accuracy, sourcing, permissions, and accessibility.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and follow-through in fast cycles; adept with editorial calendars, checklists, and approvals.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day editorial operations: Manage the editorial calendar and oversee content intake, prioritization, drafting, fact-checking, and approvals under tight deadlines.
  • Execute GTIA’s owned content platforms: plan, produce, and publish content across written, audio, video, and social formats that support GTIA’s content and coverage goals.
  • Podcast and series execution support: Coordinate guests and run of show, manage recording logistics, support publishing workflows, and collaborate with the video team as needed.
  • IT channel insights and trends: Curate and synthesize meaningful stories, trends, data, and member insights from across the IT channel, and package them into clear, relevant content for GTIA platforms and social channels.
  • PR and interview support: Work with contracted global PR agencies to help coordinate interview logistics, briefing materials, and follow-ups.
  • Real-time event coverage: Prep storylines and talking points; support onsite interviews, quotes, and b-roll; work with the video and social teams to publish timely recaps and highlight clips tied to GTIA programs, research, events, and member stories.
  • Quality and brand voice: Copyedit for clarity, style, and accuracy; ensure accessibility, permissions, credits, and alignment with GTIA tone and standards.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholder teams to coordinate inputs, surface stories, and align execution across GTIA initiatives, while working closely with the Director, Member Content & Coverage, to ensure priorities are delivered consistently.
  • Workflow and vendor coordination: Manage small queues of freelancers/creators as needed; keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Measurement and learning: Track content and channel KPIs (traffic, engagement, retention, shares, conversions), report insights, and support iteration on formats and topics.
