About The Position

We are looking for a Manager, Controller – Boron, whose primary function will be to provide financial information and analysis. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a team based in Boron, California and provide optimal controller’s support. Working in a collaborative environment, the team is responsible for coordinating and ensuring a high quality of accounting, financial reporting, technical and compliance support services. Reporting to the Finance Director– Boron, this position is a great development opportunity for a person looking for challenges.

Requirements

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Accounting certification (CPA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing or related field
  • Strong experience in audit and controls
  • Excellent English (written/verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced critical thinking
  • Proactive with the ability to work autonomously
  • Good team player and ability to interact effectively with colleagues / to build partnership
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Solid knowledge in SAP will be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of dynamic professionals.
  • Interprets and comments on monthly financial results used by management and for reporting.
  • Ensure compliance of financial information with accounting standards and policies and the robustness of internal controls.
  • Recommend solutions to resolve complex accounting issues specific to the operational situation of the sites under his/her responsibility
  • Work in partnership with various stakeholders within the organization including Finance Business Partners, financial accounting team, risk, accounting policy, Commercial, Tax, etc.
  • Mobilize the team to realize our process optimization and standardization initiatives
