About The Position

The role of the Visual Merchandising Manager is to:Develop a complete merchandising picture for each area of responsibility. Work with Merchant Team Leaders to understand the intent of each program. Then, interpret that intent and set direction for how the product will be presented across all store formats. Manage the Visual Coordinators and Visual Assistants with lab store set-ups and Visual Communications to the stores. Essential Function Collaborate with Merchant Teams to understand their intent for each program. Form a Point of View on how each merchandise program should be presented in-store inclusive of fixtures and graphics and then gain alignment from merchants and visual partners Manage visual coordinators and assistants in setting programs in-lab, in-store, or on-computer Ensure Visual Focuses are incorporated into all programs (storytelling, outfitting, fashion and color direction, mannequin and floor fixture placement and wall impact) Oversee store communication documents for accuracy, simplicity, and consistency, with a focus on teachable merchandising techniques that can be understood by the store teams Develop accurate floor plans and planograms with the merchant teams for each area of responsibility Partner with visual colleagues in the development of sign and fixture programs for each area of responsibility as needed Lead Seasonal Prototype Store Sets for area of responsibility Participate in weekly calls with Visual Field Leadership team to add clarity and gain feedback on Visual Directives

Requirements

  • In-store merchandising and managing of people required
  • 7-9 years in-store or corporate Visual Merchandising Experience
  • High level skill and talent to merchandise products and displays in a retail store environment
  • Ability to space plan and layout store fixtures
  • High Level Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • High Level Interpersonal Skills
  • Management skills and ability to lead and motivate team
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of CAD, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Ability to work in multiple file formats, PC & MAC
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design or related field
