The Acquirer Capability (ACD) Products team is at the heart of the proprietary transaction process. We power billions of transactions leading to merchants being paid and continuing to welcome American Express cardmembers and their cards. We are looking for a talented Product Manager to join the ACD Products team in delivering efficient, effective, predictable, and compliant transaction processing.

  • Actively participate to design the capability roadmap to enable business processes that support the transaction processing products
  • Deliver tools & capabilities based on customer needs, competitive analysis and market and technology trends
  • Set expectations with Product Owners, stakeholders, customers, architects
  • Prioritize Features and negotiate Program backlog
  • Understand how to operate with Epics, Capabilities, Features and Stories
  • Set vision and own roadmap for the product
  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, business partners, and technology partners
  • Develop relationships with leaders while appropriately influencing without direct authority
  • Adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change
  • Support governance processes for assigned product(s)
  • Develop deep understanding of both the problems our stakeholders are trying to solve and the technical capabilities that support the pricing business today and, in the future
  • Partner across business, product and technologies to define/plan short/long term needs and solutions for the future
  • Product planning experience with strong understanding of the Product Management lifecycle
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience in Scaled Agile delivery/framework
  • Experienced in Rally
  • Knowledge of merchant transaction processing capabilities
  • Ability to gate-keep and manage scope
  • Growth Mindset with a passion for innovative thinking
  • Understanding of GMS business drivers, merchant needs, and market trends
  • Proven track record of communication, influence and leadership without authority
  • Demonstration of skill in gathering and facilitating definition and clarity on needs translated into high quality capabilities
  • Ability to drive innovation, communicate effectively, and influence without authority
